The purpose of this meeting was to:
(a) receive a report on the Parliamentary launch of the UUK Report;
(b) seek the Group’s views on Nottingham’s Student Housing Action Plan: ‘Students and Balanced Communities’ which had been sent to all members of the Group;
(c) discuss and evaluate the performance of the Nottingham Action Group;
(d) decide, in the light of the discussion whether the meeting should approve the dissolution of the Nottingham Action Group. This was one of the few opportunities during the past year when the Group has been able to freely discuss the issues that concern individual members and assess how much impact the Group’s work has had on those issues. In the event the resolution put to the meeting, that this meeting approves the dissolution, as of 30th September 2006, of the Nottingham Action Group, was unanimously rejected.
